theres also a super expert bracket (32+ msd) which we did because unsurprisingly theres enough hard idm for that to exist. plus there seems to be enough really good players participating for it to be worthwhile

i also managed to participate this time. most of the scores i set are pretty good though i think i could improve a few (especially reflective moment my score's terrible on that). if i was fully derusted i could probably play in advanced bracket too but dont think thats happening

Season 3 thoughts!
The poster was cool, but a bit hard to read at times.

Advanced
Considering this time the theme was IDM and similar, i had no chance of getting high in any bracked, so i recon'd it wouldn't hurt to try the Advanced bracket. So, unsurprisingly i was murdered by Choprite, as the section roughly 200 seconds in was just too mine-dense for me to handle. This will be a continuing trend . Whitey's Ice and Craft are charts that i played... and promptly forgot what it felt like to play. I actually didn't even recognize Craft when looking at the preview a bit ago. Robotomy (and later UNDICI and Gants Graf) are charts that don't quite feel like the song, but not from a lack of trying. These songs man, they're tricky for sure. I've tried my hand at UNDICI before and yeah, props for making a nice chart out of it.

Expert
Angel's Salad is such a banger, and the chart is pretty good too. Was a bit hard for me due to my unusually fast-rusting wristjacking skill, but fun nevertheless. 44 Edit was a surprising hit. Extra-Wanky i nearly passed, but the mines got me in the end. ゆめtube was interesting, but not really my taste, while Gantz Graf is like an in-between it and 44 Edit. This bracket thoroughly demolished me on the leaderboard haha. Somehow lost to a dude playing only two of the charts in it.

Super Expert
The super bigboi league! I didn't AA a single file here (thought i do have past AA's). Toki is my standout favourite in the bracket; good song and good chart. Fireball was surprisingly good coming from Lemon, which i'm happy seeing. Undici is in a weird position of "it's not quite right", while at the same time being a finished chart, so i can't harp on it too much. Reborn i'm not entirely sure where to place on the graph, as i failed pretty early on in it. goTe EX i unfortunately failed here, despite having an A from earlier WoC WIP testing. Too much time changing a housewall and too little playing...

Bonus
CLOCK is a top tier chart, and i am very happy it was here... thought songwise it feels a bit out of place with the others. Epileptic Crisis is cool, Undiscovered Colours is very artsy and interesting to play, but the 8th time or so isn't the same. Playing it once every half-year is the optimal experience for immersion! In Come To Daddy i hit an entire NINE notes xD. Songwise the later half is a surprising hit, but chartwise... what can i say? Finally there is Vunderbar, a surprisingly tricky chart in which... hang on a second... that score on the leaderboard isn't correct! My placement is potentially one spot higher there, but i doubt i matters much since i only noticed now :)

Overall a very tricky ESA. My lack of minedodge skill is really showing here, and in general the charts are quite a lot harder than in the other seasons; There were only two 99s in the Advanced bracket. Expert had a lot more spread on the leaderboard, which is cool. Picking charts to enable that is haaaard.

Crowded Fucks / Sucks graph Most of the charts here were well-made, hence the trend to the left, but the ones that "sucked" also tended to be more neutral on the fucks axis. Uncertain as to why, but food for thought.
