by this i mean like playing a chart without music, but being able to have a feeling or sense of what the song is like thanks to charting. mostly focused on dumps

you certainly could do that, but i can't see why you would

i know some people fixate hard enough on the improvement aspect of the game that they play with sound off because to them the chart's just a means to an end but. that's a whole different thing from what you mean i think

otoh ive thought about making a chart without music before. just thinking of music in my head and then charting that. i think that could be interesting

yeah, honestly i've been thinking about my strange relationship with charting and trying to figure out why i feel the way i do about it, and have been wondering if there's people who have maybe tried making a silent chart that still feels like the music you play without getting too far into normal territories

i really wonder why i feel the way i do about certain charts
